“It’s funny, I was a big Alabama fan growing up,” Smith said as Tennessee’s five early enrollees met with the media on Thursday afternoon. “A huge fan, actually. But I really made my decision a couple months ago, sat down with my dad and reviewed the facts.

“I visited the university and talked to the coaches enough that I knew this was home. There’s no place like Tennessee.”

The best recruit though Butch has landed is the Rock. What he will bring to this program and these players like Trey is going to be great. I train Athletes in off season High School age and I never understood why so many strength coaches were getting away from Old School lifts. I still use them while bringing in some new ideas as well.

I don't have to read. I have been coaching and training High School kids for years I evaluate with my eyes and watching a kids determination to succeed.

Yes he had all the tools but everyone knew he didnt have the killer instinct. You still offer Drew hoping he develops that because of his skill.

Although my oldest daughter is an Ole Miss Fan. Truthfully she is at the age where she is against me fan. To be fair her 1st game was at The Grove, she had a blast, the Vols lost and she was shaking a red shaker(found it on the ground) singing Hottie Tottie, needless to say her mother was not pleased. In a moment of weakness I said "Let her have her fun." Big mistake, now she runs wild.

All the fancy weigh room machines in the world are not as good as free weights. Free weights require you to stabilize them, not just lift them, they also engage other body parts machines don't. Keep it simple.

Exactly. I use an old John Stucky platform workout with 5 different cling movements that is great. This type of workout has not been going on for years in Knoxville.
