toy gun proves to not be a crime...

:good!: Good news.

When the deputy alerted on-duty officers and they pulled over Johnson's vehicle, they found a toy Uzi submachine gun under the passenger seat.

A college student carrying that around?

Maybe it was for protection to scare somebody, but still...

Kind of silly.

Gee, where are all the geniuses who were talking about what a horrific crime this was when the story first broke?

XTennesseeX......

On the banner with the years that the Vols won national championships, why are the apostrophes (') on the wrong side of the numerals?

"A jury on Friday found Tennessee cornerback Marsalous Johnson not guilty"

This went to TRIAL?!?!:lolabove:

The low-rent ADA's in Putnam county must be hard up for trial experience. What a joke.

A great use of Putnam County's tax dollars.

I guess when you make a living prosecuting tractor theft and meth possession, you gotta get your kicks when you can.

from the Tennessean:

"Today it took a 12-member trial jury 20 minutes of deliberation to find Johnson not guilty."

Jeez, that Prosecutor is an idiot. What a grade-A dope. Never should have gone to trial in the first place. Nice career move, Opie.

I wish I would've paid attention to when the court date was. I would've showed up with a "FREE MARSALOUS!" sign.

Marsalous should consider himself lucky that he didn't have his pet dog with him on that fateful that day.

why did it take so long to figure out that was a toy gun? wouldn't that have been kind of obvious?

I wish I would've paid attention to when the court date was. I would've showed up with a "FREE MARSALOUS!" sign.

I visited Philadelphia in 2000 or 2001, when Allen Iverson was arrested for domestic issues or something, and on the sidewalks downtown, they were selling "FREE A.I." tee shirts, with the mug shot in full frontal display. Not buying one has been one of my life's biggest regrets.
