A point that hasn't been brought up enough: Fulmer emphazised physical and mental toughness in the offseason, and now we know why. Apparently it didn't work. The team simply gave up yesterday. The defense is missing a leader who will hold everyone accountable, and they're missing tough players. Mayo and Hefney have regressed more than any decent defensive player over the course of one season as I have seen. As for the offense, I can't say we have one guy who is mentally tough enough, especially Austin Rogers. He was simply pathetic yesterday. He and the other recievers were terrified, and as soon as Foster fumbled, the offense totally gave up. Fulmer's inability to fix what needs to be fixed (mainly toughness, punt coverage, running and stopping the run) are more proof that he simply needs to be let go.
