Found out I was going to be a father Tuesday and my job laid me off Wed. It sucked but I know God has something better for me. Only problem is I don't know where to look. It's so hard with school and all that but I need a full time job and I would like it to be something I can do for a while I still have 2 years of school left.

Any suggestions?

Congrats on Baby, that is wonderful and I'm glad your faith is good, God will not abandon you, what a precious gift!
What are you studying? Maybe there is something out there related to your studies

Where do you live. I hired many students for telemarketing, if that has any interest for you. There are always openings in it.

Free lance for sure in between jobs, whatever you capture on film is a possibilty for local news and weather.com. There are lots of jobs to just make money you can do. They are not fun but they are available.

congrats on the baby. Volnissniss' advice is actually very good. you might want to check into being a security guard. you could work at night and possibly snag a few minutes here and there to study. you would also get benefits, which the lack of, is pushing me into a different career field. if you have relatives close to you, it will make life much easier, especially, if you choose to continue your education. one other thing, if you can take night classes, is building maintenance. i do apartment and commercial maintenance. i make pretty good money, but more important, i can leave work, pretty much anytime i want, which is really helpful, with a kid. REALLY helpful. you can get a job doing maintenance, with no experience, and you learn a million things, that you wont have to pay someone else to do, in the future.

Tough timing Nature. I can almost assure you that your local Sheriff's Office is in need of good corrections officers. Pay is not much, but the work is shift work and will possibly help with your school scheduling and I'm pretty confident that they would offer a good health insurance policy to help with the new family.

I suggest reaching out to a few local staffing firms. Many companies are no longer advertising or recruiting to fill internal postions, and are relying on staffing firms to supply them with qualified, talented candidates.

Obviously, you'll want to continue to pursue new opportunities on your own...but it would be to your benefit to have a few professional recruiters represent you in your job search.
