...to the current VOL players GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES Friday night and for the season.
To fellow fans ....we have become spoiled over the last 20 years, even the last 10 years have not as been as difficult as periods before. I am a fan for 50+ years...I remember 1973 to 1983, 10 seasons between 9 wins campaigns and only 2, 73@81 with 8 games won (out of 11 or 12 IF we got to a bowl).
Our PLAYERS suck it up every day, it is time for Tennessee fans to do the same.
As to all the negative stuff, media, fans, talking heads, etc. I am tired of it and hope no player buys into this.
As to Dooley, I support him as I have supported every coach going back to Dickey...personally I think he is on the right track. (Same as I have stated for Indiana basketball and could give you comparisons between the 2 programs and recent coaches ie. Sampson/Kiffin and now Crean and Dooley...I will take the latter any day of the week; IU had the foritude to support Crean and the team through tougher times -3 gut wrenching years-than we have seen, imagine 3 seasons of Tennessee football circa 1977 or 2005).
Thank God Friday night is close cause it is FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE.
