I know what you are thinking (it was Kobe). No thanks. I'll take one of the better post scorers in the last 30 years, great rebounder, incredible defensive player, the best leader in basketball since Magic, and the man who won three titles in five years.
Malone averaged 25 and 11 in the playoffs.
He had two of the greatest finals performances with 39, 9, 5, 1, and 1, and 37, 10, 3, and 4.
You guys are remembering the poor performances, and not remembering the strong ones. He'd have 2 titles if it weren't for the greatest dynasty post-expansion.
No way. Lebron is bigger, stronger, and he dunked from the free throw line in a game.
Dr. J would still be considered one of the better athletes in the league, but nowhere near the top. Who from the late 70s and early 80s can be put in a conversation with Lebron, Westbrook, D Howard, etc.?
