I really think this is a great indepth article. If you are a basketball fan, you should read it.

I don't. Bruce Pearl isn't even listed in the head coach rankings. Also, listing Creighton and Xavier as top-10 programs is preposterous. I can see them being listed in the top-20, but ranking them the 7th and 9th best programs is a bit of a reach. Even worse, he calls Memphis the 29th best program in the country. This article just wasted 5 valuable minutes I'll never get back. Thanks, Scott.

Pearl has not done anything to be put up there yet. I think he will, but not yet. Has not even won a SEC title yet.

He's done more than Sean Sutton, Jim Christian, Jeff Capel, Stew Morrill, Sean Miller, Brad Stevens, Trent Johnson, Mick Cronin and Billy Kennedy have.

Take off the orange sunglasses. It's gloomy outside these days.

I never wear sunglasses. On a serious note, is this the only argument you can muster? I know you're jealous of the recent basketball success, but none of those coaches I listed have better resumes than Bruce right now.

Look I agree with most of you on Pearl. I think he is a heck of a coach. But this article is based on 5 year incriments.

Also, listing Creighton and Xavier as top-10 programs is preposterous.

So is listing Penn, CofC, So Illinois, Utah State, Kent State, and Murray, but not UCLA or Louisville. As bad as I hate them, does anybody really think there are 17 better programs in the country than Kentucky?

Again, he's achieved more than all those coaches I just listed that were rated higher according to the article.

yep. team rankings i completely understand, and would not expect to see UT on the list. But Pearl should be on the coach ratings list somewhere, period.
