Post 1980? My goodness I’ll go ask my papaw and see what he says. Jk but my Vols memory only goes back as far as some rainy FLorida UT field goal game and a UT/Miami game while I was at a Ruby Tuesdays 🤣 don’t ask me how I remember that. I dunno..

Now if we start talking post dial up internet-
Berry, D. Barnett, JP jr , and I liked watching Kamal Hadden grow over his time at UT.

I believe Haynesworth had 2.5 career sacks at Tennessee. Putting him on this list is a disgrace.

1. Reggie white - The Minister of Defense. Held the sack record for over 30 years. Holds the Vols single season record of 15 in a season. Was unstoppable as a senior

2. Al Wilson - his leadership and toughness helped propel the Vols to the national title in 1998. Dominated Florida in the 98 game causing 3 fumbles still a school record in a game.

3. Eric Berry - 2x All American, SES defensive player of the year, Jim Thorpe award winner. Holds AEC record for most interception return yards. One of the hardest hitting safeties to ever wear the orange.

4. Derek Barnett - All time sack leader, second in tackles for loss. All American

5. Leonard Little - third in career sacks, number 1 in TFL career. All American Co-SEC Defensive Player of the Year
