4.) Deron Williams
5.) Rajon Rondo (I wonder how good he'd be without the big 3 though???)

SG
1.) Kobe
2.) D-Wade
3.) McGrady
4.) Brandon Roy

5. Not sure after the first four... Jason Kidd, Baron Davis, Gilbert Arenas, Russell Westbrook, Chauncey Billups, Tony Parker and some others I'm forgetting are all right there. You could put any of them in over the other and I wouldn't call you crazy.

Just a question... Why are you guys putting McGrady on the list of best players "right now" when he's not playing right now?

I guess because there aren't many 2 guards out there besides the top guys. I said when healthy but understand why he wouldn't make a normal list.

I disagree. Go look at the list of NBA sg's organized by PPG. There are at least 20 guys on that list that any team would be glad to have. Sure, you have your all-time greats (Bryant and Wade right now) but aside from them, good-quality scoring 2's are never a really sought-after commodity since they're always in abundance.

I agree they're good but there aren't many that stick out IMO.

I'm honestly surprised no one mentioned Ray Allen on any list. He's still the best shooter in the league. He would average more points but he plays with KG and Paul Pierce.

I would still like to see him be top 30 in points assists or steals before I put him top 5.

I would not put him above Kobe obviously, but I think an argument could be made that at this point he is better than Dwade....if not they are even.

I really can't agree here... Johnson can be put top 5 but Wade and Kobe are the two sure fire hall of fame 2 guards in the league. Johnson is simply not there right now.

same reason T-mac is poised to getting voted in the all star game as a starter, popularity...

Joe Johnson is playing great and has the last few seasons. The series with boston two years ago was nice and Johnson carried the hawks while they were at home. However, Kobe and Wade are way above Johnson. Johnson is solid, 20 pts 5 rebounds 5 assist every night, but he doesn't have the star swagger and just dominate opponents every game.

Johnson is top 5 in my book and the Hawks are playing really well right now. I like the hawks in the East in a seven game series. Their team defense has improved and they have solid players (smith, horford, bibby, crawford, j smith, etc). Bos, Clev, Orl need to watch out.

I'd be shocked to see T-Mack get an all start invitation but it will likely happen. Either way, when he's healthy, he's one of my favorite players. So good in clutch situations.

T-Mac is second among guards in the West in fan voting and he hasn't played any significant mintues yet this season (16 mins total). He is ahead of Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Steve Nash (who is having a super season). Lots of controversy on this topic in many blogs.

Anytime you let the fans vote for this stuff there is going to be turmoil.
