Top 5 Lame Arguments to Keep Fulmer.

1. The Penn State keeping Joe Paterno argument is really, really weak. Paterno is essentially a mascot for Penn State, a do nothing that sits upstairs and watches the game as any fan does. Paterno has multiple national championships, multiple Big Ten championships and literally made that program what it is today. They have decided to give Paterno a lifetime contract...fine, he deserves it. Fulmer isnt in the same zip code as Paterno, and he is not worthy of such treatment.

Joe Pa is a figurehead... but there are many good recruits who still want to go play for him, obviously CPF doesn't hold that same clout

as for the national championship.. did Lloyd Carr a lot of good in Michigan

lets see gave him an oppritunity to play and a good education....gave him a chance to coach and a huge salary. Gave him raises and extensions based on performance and even lowered our expectations so he could meet them. What would Fulmer be today w/o UT? Where would UT be w/o Fulmer?

Do you think we would have a national championship. If you don't know, we went 50 years between the two consensus titles. Majors has one, but not at UT. Again, no argument that his time has passed but give him his due.

Thats a question that can't be answered nodody knows what would have happened. I appreciate all CPF did for this University but to hear all this "he gave his life to UT bs" irks me. As stated before UT has compensated him well and too well recently. Loyalty goes both ways and because of his sucess he was given a longer rope. He has been an outstanding employee. He like every coach before and after him realize its business...... The end will spell out if Phil truly bleeds orange or green!
