1. Beatles
2. Led Zeppelin
3. Pink Floyd
4. Rolling Stones
5. The Doors?

Maybe I should've stopped at 4.

Honorable mentions...

Aerosmith (until their most recent album)
The Kinks
Anything with Clapton in it?
Jimi Hendrix (can I count him as a band?)

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone obvious.

The Mother effin Who. How did I forget The Who? Toss up, but I would probably have them #5 over the Doors.

No Rush fans? It would be tough for them to crack a top 5 list, but not even an honorable mention?

So many awesome bands. It would be hard to stop at 5. Some I didn't see mentioned, The Beach Boys(Pet Sounds is an awesome record), Jefferson Airplane, and The Steve Miller Band. Somebody did mention The Doors, right?

Sorry. It always hurts feelings, but I never really cared for the Beatles more than a song or two. I'll take John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance over all of their songs. And The Who? They suck. So does Rush.
