So I was listening to a sports talk show down in Mobile today, talk about the All Time Top 5 football players at each school in the SEC. The Mobile Press Register is doing one for each school each week. Next week they are doing the Top 5 All Time Vols.

Who are your Top 5 All Time Vol Football Players? Remember to think about there time while at UT, and not in the pros! Some may have been great players in college, and sucked it up in the pros...or vice versa.

Here are mine
1) Peyton Manning
2) Johnny Majors
3) Reggie White
4) Al Wilson
5) Jamal Lewis

Its hard to keep it at just 5!

3. White
4. Majors
5. Berry

Tough to argue against. There are others that can swap out, but these can all hold their own. I'd take Wilson over Berry because he was the heart and soul of a title team x

Yeah, I could certainly see putting Wilson over Berry because of how hard he played, and the leadership he showed during our prime.

I put Berry over Wilson because I believe he was better at his position than Wilson was at his.

I guess it's just a matter of opinion, that's why I love questions like these.

It is a good list. That makes Majors next in line for a retired jersey.

For me, Andy Kelly needs to be in there somewhere. I know he wasn't the best qb, but I loved watching him play at ut.

I am basing mine on pure Talent and in my Generation. 1-Peyton Manning,2-Reggie White,3-Carl Pickens,4-Eric Berry,5-Chuck Webb.Webb would be near the top if he didn't get injured.

Of the ones I've seen:

Peyton
Heath
Al
EB
Dale Carter

Honorable Mention
Cobb
T Henry
L Little
Garner
Pickens

#24
#24
In alphabetical order
Doug Atkins
Beattie Feathers
Johnny Majors
Peyton Manning
Then, a lot of #5's can be considered. Any list without those 4 is a newbie approach to UT football.
