How would you quantify that? I mean, we all pretty much play the same competition in the SEC, and the only thing that you can compare is the raw numbers.
Mostly I agree with your point, but on the other hand there are situations where you can be the best QB in the league without necessarily being on a winning squad (see Jay Cutler 2005).

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on blowing out an uninterested Miami team in a Peach Bowl. Stafford and UGA finshed the season out rather well. I would be happy to see Tebow flop but think he is going to do the complete opposite.

Stafford had a great game against Auburn. He looked pretty bad against Virginia Tech (were they interested?). In the last five years, only one team has managed to win the SEC without a senior QB. I expect Flynn to come in and play very well. How many people would have rather had Ainge than Shockley after 2004? I think Flynn could have a similar season to DJ, provided the new offensive coordinator doesn't totally blow it.

They finished well in that their last 3 games and Stafford, but Stafford was not very good against Ga Tech and Va Tech. I'm not sure he had 300 yards passing combined in his last 2 starts.

Well I see Flynn does have 43 completed passes in his career. I can see now why he would be your pick.

He combined for 300 yards exactly, actually. Haha. Your sentiment is accurate, though. Here are his lines over the last 3 games (the evidence that the mags point to for their prediction of his big 2007)

@ Auburn - 14/20, 219 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT (efficient, good game)

v. Ga Tech - 16/29, 171 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT

v. Va Tech - 9/21, 129 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Granted, all 3 had good defenses, and they were 3-0. However, I'm not sold on him blowing through the SEC schedule, yet. He may be the old school style of QB who excels after his SO year.

They have the best player on our team by far, D.J. Hall, listed as only the 5th best player on our team.

For some reason Tebow reminds me of Grossman with more running ability.

With Tebows first 2 games coming against W.Kentucky and Troy, Florida fans and ESPN will probalby be bowing before him and calling him God Tebow come week 3 when we get to truely welcome him to the SEC.

The Pro scouts seem to think Woodson is a Top 5 draft pick, so I'll defer to them right now and say he's the best QB in the SEC. Some of you guys are the same blind homers that used to think that Casey Clausen was better than Jay Cutler!! Erik is still such a wildcard to me. He improved greatly last year, but he still had critical brainfarts late in the Florida and Penn State games that killed us.

Jay Cutler and Casey Clausen only played one game against each other, I believe. Cutler managed to put up a whopping zero points in that game. At that time, you'd be hard-pressed to say the sophomore Cutler was better than the senior Clausen.

Well, he may have been better at the time, but who's in the pros now?

Who cares? Saying someone is a blind homer for prefering a QB who just led his team to a 48 point win over a QB that led his team to a bagel is just wrong.

Was the QB at Memphis in '97 better than Peyton Manning? Good logic there, Socrates.

Did Memphis completely annhilate Tennessee that year? Was the score in the neighborhood of 48-0? Did Peyton Manning manage to score a point against Memphis while that QB was there? Did Manning get benched in the third quarter? Please tell me, Plato.

Did I ever even say Clausen was superior? No. I simply said it was not absurd to think so after Cutler's sophomore season. After Casey's sophomore season, he was projected for greatness, too.

Ainge behind Tebow, and Stafford? :eek:lol:

Your thoughts?

So a sophomore QB that threw for roughly 400 yds and 5 TD's in NO starts and another sophomore QB that threw for roughly 1800 yds and 7 TD's with 13 INT's in a on-again...off-again starting role are supposedly better QB's than a senior with 22 starts, roughly 5200 yds passing, and 41 TD's to 25 INT's in his career

WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!!!

Well, problem is this is one publication's opinion. Everyone has an opinion about whos best. Opinions are in fact like buttholes! Everyone has one just some make more noise and more crap comes out of them. All rankings are unfortunately subjective and theirfore are really not rankings, but opinions. Rather it be whos the best player or whos the best team. Stats can be scued and you can make them look how you want them to look.

Looking at this list I see no player I wouldnt hesitate in haveing on my team as a starter. I of course, like everyone can be biased and would choose some over others. That doesn't mean that who I pick is any better than someone else's pick.

Just my opinion. Ill quit babling now.
