hygiene is number one. 23 pairs of chromosomes is a close second. Third would be a (relatively) clean criminal record.

Ability to coach up/and motivate players
Ability to recruit
Ability to gameplan and make in-game adjustments

1. Hire Great Recruiters who have combined connections in multiple states.

2. Hire Great Coaches with proven track record.

3. Have immediate impact in recruiting.

I would give Lane Kiffin an A++ so far.

2) Is he a good coach?

3) Can he recruit?


I just wish these questions were asked BEFORE they hired Kiffin.

But seriously:
1. Recruiting ability. Can't win with scrubs.
2. Caoching/Player developement.
3. Testicular fortitude.

I thought about putting in game adjustments in here, but with those 3 items I think that you can just about beat anyone no matter what if you do those well.
