I think we do a Derrick Green, Marquez North, and Vonn Bell commitment will do it.
My question is what are we ranked now?

We could add 3 5.7 3 stars and be around 18th. Yes, we will be around 15 come signing day. If Lawson and North committed right now, we would be in the top 10.

A top 30 finish with guys that are going to stick around for 4 years will be much preferable to the top 15 classes we have recently "enjoyed".

I feel like we would be lucky to break past 20 and will finish top 30. Just a gut feeling we are gonna end up in the bridesmaid spot for these big names. Tennessee has a habit of ending up with option c-d-e instead of a-b-c lately.

With North, Bell and either Lawson Greene or Herron we should finish in 13- 10 range

Thanks to the academic dept puting a strangle hold on who we can get (a b & c) and forced to settle for (c d & e).

Cheek says differently. They have been making the academic standards tougher since he arrived.

Yeah, that's why we are able to clear guys like Pender, Phillips, etc.. last year. The academic problems are not due to admissions, it's due to some of the "football friendly" majors that were taken away from the curriculum.

Decent chance if they close with good prospects. Fill it out with low 3, and 2 stars, and it will be like Fulmers worst class.

I originally said between 18 and 22. And about Eight in the SEC, I see no reason to change my prediction.

We aren't at that much of a disadvantage if at all on the academic side, the only thing different is juco's have to retake the classes they weren't passing in. Most juco's don't and shouldn't have this problem. As far as recruiting I think we end up around 15-18 could go as high as 12 and as low as 20. So I will say somewhere between 12-20 and we will land of couple of impact players before signing day. GO VOLS!

The problem isn't so much getting them in to school. It really falls on the elimination of several easier degree paths paired with keeping them eligible (TN C grade or better rule). This is why we lost Lanier. He would've stayed eligible at every other SEC school.

Stanford seems to do OK, of course it's the only example that comes to mind right now. But they seemed to be able to do both.

We will miss on Green, Bell, Lawson, and maybe even North. 30th if we are lucky.jmo

I completely agree. How many fantasy threads do I have to see saying we land Lawson, bell, green, north, kamara, etc. look at the kids commiting, we are just filling the roster with any kind of depth we can get at this point.
