- Hello folks! What’s up? I have been thinking seriously about videogame controllers, and I gotta say it’s really hard to come with a top ten list of them. There’s a difference between controller and peripheral, one is used to play a game, and the other just enhances the videogame experience. I will set one rule only to this list, one very important rule: 1, if it has buttons and it’s used to play a game, then it’s a controller. So there you go, let’s roll!

That list is terrible. He didn't mention the 360 controller, yet mentioned the Wii controller? Complete blasphemy.

The Dreamcast and the first Xbox controllers both licked balls.

Those things were built for giants to play. They were huge and the egg shaped buttons just did feel right.

Way too clunky and the locations of the black and white buttons were the worst design features I've ever seen.

It made running a simple option run in college football a major feat.

I can't believe Gamecube was voted number 1. It was one of the worst (up there with DC/first xbox). My list goes like this:

1) Improved xbox version (roughly the same as the 360)
2) Playstation w/ analog.
3) SNES
4) NES
5) Sega
6) Sega Saturn
7) N64

And that's about all I can think of that's worth mentioning.

The only person I know to have ever liked the Duke was my good friend in high school who is 6'8" and has the hands of a seven footer. He used to play Halo 2 with it, holding the controller on his lap overhand with the legacy southpaw setting. It was the weirdest thing ever.
