Hardest place to play doesn't neccesarily mean loudest. Cal's 19-2 at memorial in the past 21 games. Pretty good. I do agree it probably doesn't deserve top-10 though. SC should be up there these days. That place is intimidating. Just look at the record.

Nothing against the Coliseum, but you could put USC in a cow pasture and they would be intimidating.

Yeah, I have been to 5 games at IU........

People rattling their keys during kickoffs......scary!

Neyland is not very intimidating lately...sad but true.


People get letters from the University if they are being too loud at games for Chrissake.


It's almost sad. We have the potential to be the loudest place on Earth, but everyone sits around and grumbles under their breath.

I remember 1 lady getting a letter and it's because she was an annoying idiot. Were there others I missed?

Neyland is actually one of the most intimidating stadiums in the country. How the hell is Cal ranked ahead after the way we pounded them at home last year and they were shocked? Tennessee doesn't play well, but the stadium is extrememly intimidating according to players and coaches I've heard interviewed.
