Top 10 at some point

would you say that the offense has improved....if so, then yes there is improvement...defense suks but give credit if you are going to bash...with any defense at all this team could have very easily have lost only to Bama...

That was the whole point of what I said. The offense did enough to win but Sunseri's defense couldn't stop anyone. The defensive line has done pretty well against the run but when you give up 20-30 yard chunks at a time, you aren't going to win in the SEC. Sunseri admitted he probably didn't have the personnel to run the defense he changed to so, why change until you have the right personnel.

you can't change your tune in november.

in the summer time, florida, georgia, and south carolina all were mediocre and the sec east was up for grabs. tennessee had as much chance to win the division as florida, south carolina, and georgia. that was what was said.

now, it's november and florida, georgia, and south carolina are all in the top 10 and tennessee is in the crapper. you want to explain that by saying these teams are so good it was not a reasonable expectation to beat them.

and no matter what argument you want to make it's a failure.

why did florida, georgia, and south carolina improve so much and become so good that it's not reasonable to expect to beat them, while tennessee is giving up 700+ yards to troy?

or

florida, georgia, south carolina are still mediocre and tennessee still can't beat them.

whatever option you choose, it's not good.

LMLN!! Tennessee is closer to being Tennessee than 4 years ago!! I get so tired of this narcissitic fanbase that thinks that we should win a SEC championship or NC every year!! DD inherited a pile sh*t and lost 17 scholarship players after Kiffin left so in reality this should be year 2 for Dooley!!

In reality this is year three. The third year in a row we have started 0-5 in Sec play. 4 years ago, Kiffen had as many SEC wins that year alone than Dooley has had in his entire tenure at Tennessee. So by what criteria are you assuming us to be closer. It can't be SEC wins. It must be out if conference wins. No last I checked we narrowly escaped with a win against Troy and Akron who by the way hasn't won two games since 2009 gave us a good scare too. Oh then there is that loss to Ky which hadn't happened in thirty plus years. You must be basing your assumption then on average margin of loss. Nope can't be that either. As the matter of fact our closest chance came during Dooley's first year against LSU and we haven't been close since. So it must be on yards allowed. Nope we have allowed more yards against us this year than any team in Tennessee's history. So what statistic or scientific method are you using to assert that we are so much better off now than four years ago. We are not and every single year is like starting over. The only difference is now we have another all time low stat to brag about and that is 10th in SEC recruiting This class, which isnt short any scholarships. So all of your statements are without any foundation and nothing to back up what you are saying other than your rather feeble opinion. The dumpster is now burning hotter than ever and Dooley is not a coach or a fireman. It's time for him to go!

4 wins in the SEC in 3 years. If they win the last 3 this year that is 7, out of 24 in the SEC. No wins over any Top 25 or over any good SEC teams. A bad offense last year. A horrible defense this year. Fruit basket turnover with assistant coaches. A terrible recruiting class shaping up for this year. We are not Vandy or Kentucky. Get a grip about your sickening attachment to Dools and move on.

I wasn't aware of this, but maybe so. How do others feel?

A 1-8 Akron team took him into the fourth quarter; and a 4-4 Sunbelt team hung 48 on him. Those two factors contribute as much as the losses.

Fire him!

We have been beat by 5 teams that all were in the top 10 at one point in the season including 1,2 and 4, 5....I don't understand what we were expecting but if he wins out and a bowl 8 - 5 is exactly what this fanbase asked for!!

Not to mention we have been competitive in all but 1 of our losses!!

Yet all anyone can seem to talk about is how fast we can run Dooley out of town! Amazing...

No sir, we have been competitive in one of these losses. That was South Carolina. The rest of our losses were by 10 or more points. Now if you call not being blown out, competitive, then we obviously have a very different definition of competitive. Now what was competitive was our win over the powerhouse of Troy and our loss to Kentucky last season. Also, no real chance if him winning out. So, our fan base expects to beat Kentucky, to win at least one game against a ranked opponent every three years. We expect not to give up 750 yards to Troy. In short, we expect Tennessee to be Tennessee and are not accepting of this mediocre performance that you are obviously content with.

51-44 is not 10 or more

We have a 100,000 seat stadium and tickets are very expensive. We have to win some of those games- not be competitve.

Don't know if you realize it, but we play in the SEC. Our teams will always be in the top 20. We will be happy to forward you Dooley's next job address and you are welcome to go there and support his sorry butt.
