Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I thought that was the most insane Tennessee thing I’d ever heard, then I realized that at one point Barnes only had 2 players (Burg and Brown) on his roster. And that was after an Elite 8. Then I realized, ish like this doesn’t mean the same as it used to.

Everyone chases a bag. Gotta throw your name in to see what you might be worth. For most, it is the only $ they will make playing a game.

Edit: Dangit vfh.

100%. Especially for womens Bball players.

I built roofs over mine. Also won’t go without them
Same. I love opening the sliders to the kitchen from the patio during peak season (spring and autumn). Best thing we added to this house. Pantry is a close second. Did that one because of @utvolpj thread about "must haves" when they were building their house.

That's a little harsh. If it's MAGA protesters surrounding your vehicle just throw some Miller Lite out the window and drive away slowly. If it's liberal protesters surrounding you throw some nasty IPA out and drive away quickly, you don't want them to get your tag number and have them hunt you down for more free stuff.
God I hate miller lite and ipas.

Pandering for likes? 😁

We have a large triple slider with remote blinds out to the pool/patio that stays open most weekends until it's really hot. It's convenient but also regulated the house temp during the cooler months. Makes the house feel 3x the size as well.

It is funny to me that the beer of MAGA alpha males is the most watered down flavor and low alcohol content stuff out there. That is Budweiser's sin, not outreach to the trans community.
Don't get me wrong there's a time and place for a traditional low key lager on a super hot day. But I love hops, specifically mosaic hops.

Aren't you in Flarda? What kind of critters have you had wander in there? Maybe birds and lizards/Anoles?

One thing I completely failed to take into consideration when building the house is my back porch faces west. I put the electrical in for them but didn't have the screens installed.
My dad always had a rule of thumb about "facing south" when the lot accommodated it.
Like the rear faced south or something. Either he explained or i made up the reason having to do with solar gain.

Probably not the rule it used to be with better insulation and more efficient hvac options.

Couple birds and lizards are everywhere. My dog takes care of most of them. Also occasionally get these wandering thru the yard. Caught one in the doorbell cam a few months ago which was more concerning

Seems like I've always heard that about a house should always face south. That wasn't possible on my lot.

for best daylight, south facing is the best. but its the most expensive due to cooling. a good porch/overhang solves a lot of that. Typically the south-west corner is going to be the hottest part of the house.

if you are going to spend extra money on the windows for all the films, coatings, gas, triple pane or whatever, you will get the best bang for your buck on the south and west elevations. north & east you can be cheaper.

morning sun in the east isn't too bad as its early and relatively cool, but during the summer afternoon sun the west can bake.

Oh, they're so good on a hot day. I love beer in general. But I hate a night of killing a case of Lights with some buddies and pissing 100x and feeling bloated. Give me 2-3 heavy beers and I'm good.
