Please forgive me if this has been posted before. Listening to the Volquest podcast this week Brent Hubbs mentioned Tony Vitello put in a pitcher for one at bat to troll South Carolina. Apparently South Carolina made some comments about TV's recruiting and he made this move because the pitcher chose Tennessee over South Carolina.

Does anyone know the specifics to this story? I've searched online but cannot find the back story.

Thanks in advance.

Awesomeness if true.

Baseball is full of scenarios where messages are sent that can be defended by the sender, but the receiver fully understands it's two middle fingers in the air. The casual fan doesn't even notice.

Wyatt Evans was committed to USCjr and Tennessee offered him more scholarship money to come here instead. Vitello basically gave them the middle finger by sending him in for 1 out in the 9th inning on Sunday.
Then flipped them the other finger by putting in the Volunteer Fireman for the last 2 outs of a series sweep, down 10-0. I love his level of pettiness.
