Tony Quote from Basilio today that we all can agree on

We have a world class baseball team and a JV quality PA. While we are at it, please get rid of the higher/lower game. It’s awful. And provide print outs of the lineups like they always have except for this season.
I sit right next to where they do the higher/lower game. It has provided a ton of laughs for how dumb it is. Then the prizes are dumb as well. They were giving out 8oz cokes one week. 🤣

Yes, it’s absurd. They called #2 Antigua, and of course they guessed higher. The next # was #1, Curley. The player skits are really funny and well done.

The only way that game works if it’s truly random and odds make sense, like in that case, the odds that it’s Dean are 1/35 or whatever. But it’s controlled by a human so they can make the next one whatever they want. It’s so stupid.

I was thinking it was a home series, but LSU would also make sense
That game we lost 6-3 while giving up 6 unearned runs in the 9th inning with 1 and 2 outs really hurt. Series was in our grasp and had they won that series I think we would had a little different season and wouldn’t had been matched up against Arkansas in Fayetteville.

I won't lie, I fell asleep around 11:00 Central time from exhaustion, think we might've been up 1-0 at the time but I can't remember. Woke up the next morning, got on the Twitter, and everyone was going on about the loss so I went and checked out the highlights. It was brutal

I understand what you are saying, but this is not about what he did last year or how much he is loved by the whole team and staff. It is about what he has NOT done for the efforts of the team and staff and fan base this year.
Dean was frustrating as hell at times this year but he did hit the ball well. And I keep going back to the fact if you dh him Antigua has to hit, and he clearly can't hit.

Didn't AA and Curely have the same fielding percentage in SEC play? Neither one was good....

Indeed. Both had .907 fielding percentage in SEC play. AA had 7 errors (in limited innings) and Curley had 8 playing almost every inning.

Yeah...it works for some people but not for others. Several of the seats in our row are media sponsor seats that go to different people for every game, so you never know what you're going to get. One guy said, "If you don't want people walking in front of you, maybe you shouldn't sit on the aisle." He about got knocked down into the 3B dugout.

My favorites are the ones that get annoyed when you get up after a 3rd out to make your run, almost like you should have done it during the inning.

And even if I can't make it back before the next half inning starts, I just find a standing spot or take a lap. Walking around or watching while standing is kinda nice if you haven't ever tried it.

I LOVE the idea of making an announcement to remind people a couple times a game. That would cost literally ZERO dollars and probably cut out 3/4ths of the nonsense.

I will gladly stand up for the entire time between half-innings, bullpen calls, etc., and let whomever in and out as many times as they want to go. Drink all the beers, visit all the friends, whatever. Just please, please don't make the people who are actually there to watch the game miss any of the action because you can't wait 15 minutes to get up. Most of them aren't trying to be jerks; they just don't know better. But I'm not sure they listen to anything on the PA, either, so who knows whether that would help.

this is one thing I've got to say SRO has an advantage over regular seats for. of the 2-3 series a year I can make, all SRO, I've never had to move or make way for anyone.
