When the smoke clears in this basketball coaching hirestorm, is Tony Jones a head coaching replacement for a mid major coach who has moved on up the ladder?

Tony Jones is awesome, but he has stated that he wants to be a head coach. I hope he gets what he wants. He deserves it.

he is being mentioned for the Marshall job and may have already been "unofficially" contacted.

Slick Rick says, Tony, if you are listening stay at Tennessee for the long haul. The Big Orange are going to be picking up some nice hardware over the next few years.

I wouldn't already proclaim him to "fail" hat. I've said the same thing about certain assistants on numerous occasions.(Only to be proven wrong) A few more years here and he might be ready for a low-major or possibly mid-major depending on the situation.

Slick Rick says, Tony, listen up. Stay with Bruce as long as you can. He coaches with more passion and intensity than any coach I ever remember. My uncle, Rocky Ricardo, coached high school ball for several years. He was a very intense coach back in the day. Thinking back he was probably just as fiery as Coach Pearl. They would have went together like peas and carrots.
