I’m not so sure they wouldn’t have given the last 1 Seed to UF anyway. They’ve got some seriously splashy wins and fewer losses. Short of winning it all in Nashville, we may have been looking at a 2 all along.

The committee seeds the Big Dance before the SEC tournament is over, so winning the conference tourney wouldn't even help the Vols in that respect.

Maybe but it sucks we’ll never know. Just like last year losing to UK. Maybe we wouldn’t have gotten it but I wish we would stop making it easier for them not to.

I was about to comment the same thing. It’s probably the way it’s going, but when it does, fans will argue that the AI parameters were tampered with by league officials. The real future is to do away with all athletics and simply let AI tell us the outcomes of every season until Jesus comes.

I agree. I was watching in a hotel room with no ability to rewind but there was a stretch in the 2nd half where OM hit 3-4 buckets in a row that should have rimmed out and every one took an odd bounce and went in. I was talking out loud to myself about it.
