With Lane showing out and Poole and Raijon doing well he'd be hard pressed for PT. Then with Poole gone and Raijon being looked at out wide according to Dooley, Smith can fight for carrys next year. Any short yardage situation i think Fugate can handle

Tom Smith was my favorite recruit from this past class. In his recruiting videos he looks like he'll be a bruiser with some decent speed. I expect him to do well at some point for the Vols.

IIRC Smith came in smaller than expected. Guys it's a good thing to have talented players take a redshirt. Not all true freshmen come in ready to play and most that do would benefit from a redshirt year. It's sign of depth, something we havent had recently.

From everything I have read and the vids I have seen all indications point towards dozier/bruiser IMO
