1. Hot seats in Atlanta. The first game today features two coaches getting killed by their respective fan bases. I hope both guys get fired. That way I can laugh my head off in two years when their fans are longing for the glory days of Tubby and Mark. 2. ACC Elimination Game. FSU-Clemson is essentially an NCAA play in type game. Winner is alive, loser prepares for a run at the Garden. 3. OKlahoma State. They get a chance to salvage their season by making a run in Oklahoma City. 4. Air Force. Everyone is assuming the Falcons are in the field. A loss to Wyoming today and they are NIT bound. 5. Tommy Ammaker. Starts what could be his last shot against Minnesota today. 6. Duke. Can't wait to see how the Devils react to being a 7 seed in the ACC tourney. 7. Hatefest in Atlanta. The last event in Atlanta that has as much mutual antipathy as the UT-LSU game was the classic Buzz Sawyer-Tommy Rich cage match.

How do you think Duke will react? Looking at the ACC bracket, I could see them making it to Saturday at least.

This item has my complete and undivided attention today. I was wholly disinterested in the Brady phenomenon until he popped off with his smart alec attitude yesterday.

Now, the gloves are off.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Duke-Carolina III on Sunday afternoon.

It would be interesting to see what Cat fans would do, should Tubby get the axe, if Barnhardt brings in a new coach with a new system who promptly goes 14-14 next year.

Me either...in fact, I'd be more suprised to see UNC in the final than Duke. I think the Tar Heels are the better team, but the ACC tourney is where Duke shines brightest. UNC may have to matchup with a red-hot Maryland club, and the Dukies have a very favorable path to the final...it'll be an interesting tournament.

I know exactly what Cat fans would do, scream for Mitch's head. They'd all suddenly be afflicted with amnesia and talk about how supportive of Tubby they were.

Tubby was on ESPN yesterday, he kept referencing to his 5 SEC rings, 1 N/C ring, but I think the "What have you done for me of late" is the fan base mentality.I look for him to be gone after this year unless he makes an awesome showing in th SEC tourney(win) and or make it to the Elite 8 of the NCAA tourney.Time will tell.

That would certainly be consistent with the mentality I have witnessed. I hear quite a few rumblings about Mitch as it is, despite the fact that every program at the school save basketball, as situation which he inherited from the venerable C.M., has improved since his arrival.

I see 14-14 written all over KY next year regardless of the coach.

If Randolf Morris does not return, that is a real possibility.

A big part of the UK fan base's problem with Tubby isn't just the lack of Final Fours, but the style of play. After the fun-and-gun of Pitino in the mid-90's, watching Tubby's teams play basketball is like watching paint dry. They do play very good defense, and have done so consistently, but they struggle to score, particularly in the last few years. I guarantee you, if Tubby gets the axe, the next coach they bring in will promise a return to fast-paced, up and down the court, shoot the 3 action, and the fans will love it, until they realize that Tubby's left the cupboard bare and they make a visit to the NIT next year.

Don't forget his stunt last year...calling Bruce classless in what was obviously a fun-loving,classy gesture during the game. He makes me sick....Hey Brady, how does the bottom of the lest....I mean West feel???

Quick Update: Rob Evans spent the first game of today's session sitting with the New Mexico delegation. I will at least temporarily remove UNM's administration from my Idiot's List. That would be a really good hire.
