I know it was a scrimmage, but B.J. appears to have thrown the ball well. Maybe with him pushing Crompton both will continue to get better.

Thx for posting the info.

It might be against the 2nd team defense, but Tauren Poole looks like a star in the making.

On paper and on field against another teams D is a big difference so I would not look too far into any of the stats...I can not wait till September

Crompton's numbers aren't bad, but BJ continues to look good on paper.

quote from the scrimmage

“I thought Jonathan (Crompton) did really well,” Kiffin said. “He moved around and made some plays, and B.J. (Coleman) did well the last series and made some plays when things weren’t there.”

Also want to add. The offense did not get a first down until the 5th set from scrimmage. Crompton got sacked in the endzone by Cwalk.

The first half of the scrimmage was an abortion of lineplay from the OL.

Another tidbit, is that Monte brought the HEAT a lot today. He unleashed the fury of the Monte Kiffin Blitz packages upon the QBs. The OL didn't handle it very well in pass protection, we did run the ball well. Poole committed a fumble, and well as always Jon Crompton continued to drop the ball on a handoff. This is beginning to look like the girl who keeps having kids , because her partner "forgets" to wrap it up.

We'll be lucky if our offense improves to anywhere near the top half of the SEC, let alone the top half of the country.

I assume you weren't expecting us to be worldbeaters to begin with.

24pts a game avg will get us a decent bowl game.

We may have a few true freshman step up on O. Nuke, Brown, Green have play making ability

Did Coleman play against the first team D at all?

I'm assuming that all of Crompton's snaps came against the first team D?

Why can't Crompton hand the ball off. I do not understand why this basic function of football is so difficult for him.

sounds like coleman really came through today, even though alot of his snaps appeared to have come against the second team D. poole has been really impressive too

It is no surprise that the defense is a head of the offense at this point. That is normal. And with putting in a new offense and the defense being pretty darn good last year it should be expected.

UT's offense will be better because of practicing against this defense. Speaking of which, I am very excited to see this defense take the field against an opponent who hasn't seen it. They are going to be very good.

We dont even have our "IT" factor playing full contact.
We could me SCARY good if EB plays like last year. If he turns his game up to the 11 dial....lord knows.

Most of Crompton was against 1st team D.
Coleman took some snaps against 1st team as well

Did you see it? If so, how was Coleman v Crompton when playing against the first D? People are jumping to a lot of conclusions based on the stats alone.
