You are not a fan! Go somewhere else please. I don't like the current situation but I can never want us to lose. This is TN football and we need every W we can get. Do you really think a win over a good team will erase the mind of Hamilton? He knows what a mess we are in. Will Fulmer be gone? Who knows?

I want to beat BAMA! It's a tough task but we might be able to pull it off.

So, for you red blooded fans (not orange blooded ones) kiss my big ole butt!

I think VN is going to break a record in the 2008 season for the "Come to Jesus" threads.

If I had a nickel. Seriously, how many times will this be posted?

Look, about 90% of the people on this thread wants Fulmer gone, but not ONE of us want to lose to Bama.

Fulmer will step down win or lose Saturday. Pull for the VOLS.

I HATE alabama and would rather have fulmer stay for 50 years than lose to alabama.

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to give you a perspective from a Bama fan.

While we love to joke and make fun of Phil, most of us have great respect for what he has and can still accomplish there. You guys are feeling the same way we did about Shula in his last year. The HUGE difference is...Phil can coach, recruit, and win when all have lost faith. Look at last year.

It's your school to say who you want or don't want, but Bama fans have gone through what you are going through right now. I don't wish that on my worst enemy. Don't let a string of bad games or a bad season ruin the real potential for you long term. If anybody knows and can fix Tennessee, I do believe it's Phil. He just needs to believe that ya'll beleive.

I agree with what you are saying here. BUT I think Fulmer's best days are behind him now.
I think he needs to retire and leave while he still has a good name. BUT I totally agree with the situation about comparing Fulmer and Shula. What we went through for the last few years I wouldn't wish that on anybody. I know a bunch of the people on this board hate us simply because we are Tide fans, but I really have respect for anyone who loves their program with as much passion as I do mine and I say Good Luck to the Vols with no sarcasm and straight from the heart!!!

Yep...totally agree. I have to say that I was in Tuscaloosa for the 6-3 win in 2005 and the Vol fans were about as gracious and nice as they could be. I also saw a lot of Bama fans doing the same. We both have our small group of idiots, but in most part I believe there is a great respect on both sides for the other team. Now getting them to admit it is a different story. :)

Prediction: UT upsets bama, fulmer gets a raise, bonus, contract extension and bigger buyout.

its the "expecting us to lose" that has created our current real fan debate....

Seriously, has all the posting really stopped it? No! I read a thread every night with someone hoping we don't turn the season around and save Fulmer's job. I read a fan on here last Sunday complaining about winning by a blow out like we did on Saturday! That person described it as the worst thing that could happen. Then I read a thread devoted to how they hope we don't win much the rest of the season so we can make sure Fulmer is gone.

So, I couldn't resist this thread. If you ever wished for TN to lose, you are not a fan. End of story.

Do I want Fulmer to retire? Yes. Not fired like Johnny, but a gentle push from the inside towards retirement. Will it happen, nobody really knows.

Most of us dont really want UT to lose to Bama or anyone else. I think its time for fulmer to go. Like many other posters though I dont think he will quit voluntarily. We also know what happens if fulmer doesnt lose anymore games this year. His record will be 8-4 and he gets a raise and extension. This scenerio is why you see posts saying they hope we lose. I dont think there is really any way for us to win out at this point. However that possibilty still exisits. You will probably keep seeing "hope to lose" posts that ntill that possibilty no longer exisits or fulmer announces his retirement.

If I were an opposing fan I'd say something very similar.

I HATE alabama. I could not pull for them against Tennessee. Never.
It is ridiculous that a Tennessee fan could ever pull for alabama against Tennessee.
That violates some law of nature right????
