Look at this way. Kiffin has nothing to lose.

He went 5-15 in the NFL. He's not going back there for awhile.

People still question whether it was he or Sarkisian at USC doing the playcalling.

He's put all the pressure on Urban, Steve and every other coach to win.

Tennessee was a 5-7 team last year. If you lose to the Vols and their loudmouth coach, who's going to take you seriously after that? All the pressure is on opposing teams.

As for Urban, putting Kiffin's face up in the lockerroom is slightly stupid. What does that say about you as a person and your program when you obsess about a coach that didn't win a lot of games in the NFL and now is taking over a team that was putrid on offense and hasn't ever beaten you?

Sit back and enjoy it. Florida fans are coming here and telling us how stupid Lane is. Laugh at them. A team that is supposedly (in LG's words) "head and shoulders better than Tennessee" shouldn't care. The fact that they do means they are scared.

Couldn't agree more...nice post.

I have said this for a while... there is absolutely no pressure on Tennessee.

Fact is he has taken the nation's eyes off of the 5-7 Tennessee Volunteer football team, and put them squarely on him. I'd say that is a good thing even though it has ruffled a few feathers. Not to mention the fact that every 17-18 year old kid knows who he is now. Ask them if they know who Chizik or Mullen is. Hell some of them don't even know Steve Spurrier or Les Miles.

Im loving it if we win a few games we shouldn't which i think we will then he looks like a freaking genius, but if we don't win them then he can always say well wait a year or two until i get my players in here. Either way its a win win situation for him. I mean look at all the press he is getting himself and the university. When the recruits see your name on espn at least once a week then their most likely going to get intested in your program.

I am cannot imagine what the media buildup will be like the week leading up to the game. Should be pretty intense.

Good post and I agree.

UF fans now realize that the days of the game being over before kickoff are over. The way he's gone about his insults on Meyer has placed the pressure on himself, not the team. Now this team will no longer be psyched out for that game.

Great post.

Some people say that he's put a target on our back and other teams will be trying to beat us badly.

I say, its not like Fulmer had us playing competitively against Florida & Bama for the last few years anyway!
