I say the hell with you. Even you couldn’t stop these boys tonight! It wasn’t for a lack of trying, but these young men said enough is enough and took matters into their own hands. In a fair world, you’d be suspended for your god awful performance, but you won’t. But at least Coach Pruitt got his money’s worth for that 15 yard penalty!

They protect the playoff teams. Guaranteed the face mask gets called and they swallow the flag on the targeting if we are Bama/LSU/GA.
That just means we got to get back to beating Bama/LSU/Ga routinely, kind of like we did before Fulmer left. The man knows what it takes, and we are starting to turn the corner. Pruitts defense is finally playing with some confidence, and Cheney has been unleashed to call his game. There is light beginning to show at the end of this damn decade long tunnel! Go Vols!

The umpire judgement calls are an issue across the board. The ref's have a large say in the outcome of a game. The advent of new targeting / qb tacking rules, as well as PI calls (or lack thereof) are literally game changers. The calls are so 'touchy, feely', and especially bad in the pros. Really think that the 'softening' of the sport is the beginning of the end.

It really means the officials should be calling fair games without looking at who is wearing which uniform before deciding on a call.

There was actually two simultaneous face masks on that play. The guy out front blocking was face masked by the DB. That’s one of the reasons Pruitt was so pissed. They missed them both.

SEC refs BLOW.
Watching on t.v. there was a clear view of BOTH VOL facemasks getting grabbed & twisted. Right in front of zebras, too.
