Shot in the dark here, but if you read this stuff, be encouraged. I remember talking to Peyton after a tough UF loss in the Humanities building. He was ticked off and I just told him, look man, we all still love you. He shook my hand and said thanks man. Just have fun playing this game. We appreciate all you do! Fellow VFLs, feel free to add your words of encouragement. (Doubt they read this stuff, but if they do, this kind of thing from us can't hurt)

All I have to say to the players who want to quit:

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. This University is bigger than you. Regardless of who you are. There are people like myself who would've payed UT for the chance to put that Uniform on. If you can't appreciate the opportunity you have and you do not value being a part of a tradition over 100 years old that will last 100 more... See ya..

To those who stick around through the tough times.... We love you and you'll have a family for life

As Johnny Major's mother said, "Everyone burns the biscuits occasionally."

Against TTU, we will get to see what all these second string guys truly have to offer.

How about instead we say please reconsider and sleep on it. If over time they still feel that way then good luck in their future endeavors.

These young men are just that YOUNG and prone to rash behavior. Having a dad to lean on and talk me down helped me lotsa times in my 20's

"Everyone burns the biscuits occasionally."

That's an great southern saying. I gotta write that one down and use it.

Thanks Jax

It's not about the players. It's about the T on their uniform. If you don't have the testicular fortitude to handle tough times good luck. If you stay, you are that much more loved. None of this crap going on has anything to do with the players. They are only doing what they are told.
