Crompton and Stephens both suck...that much is clear

it looks like we'll be waiting til we get a QB (hopefully Bray) to match some of our offensive talent (which we will hopefully upgrade as well.

I would blame LK for his playcalling, but I get a heart attack every time he puts it in Crompton's hands so I can't blame him

It's real simple. It's almost entirely a matter of not having a QB worthy of D-1 (nevermind SEC) play.

No really. That's all there is to it. Help is on the way which is reason to be excited but c'mon, really, did you honestly think Kiffen & Co had some kind of pixie dust to sprinkle on Crompton and turn him into something he hasn't been since the day he stepped on campus? His performance against WKU should be on that show where they reveal how all those magic tricks are performed. Pure deception. (only the "trick" was convincing people beating WKU meant anything)

What the WKU game showed was that, without pressure he's a pretty decent QB...but when the heat is on, he slips into PANIC mode, and all brain functions short circuit.
In all fairness, though, not every QB can handle that much pressure always in your face, but that doesn't mean he has to suck when he does get some protection.

I sat in the stadium listening to everyone boo him the other day and was just thinking to myself "this isn't going to help him at all". I thought they should have taken him out, but I never boo'd him or anything. I hope that he can really bounce back from this horrible performance, but i'm not so sure that it will happen. If he would just look some receivers off he would be a whole new quarterback.

Might as well forget about the W/L columns and just try to enjoy a well executed play every now and then. Next year it will be more fun because we'll have some new faces but it'll take them a season to get acclimated to the SEC. 2011 is the year to start expecting to compete again. Or, you can give yourself an ulcer.

This team is going to HAVE to run in a Max Protect alignment most of the game. That is the only chance we have in this game.

Crompton is too easily rattled, but can be decent if given time

Am watching replay of the game now. After our first drive i can see why most people wished we had another QB. UNBELIVEABLE...........

I am in complete disbelief. Why are all of you so afraid of putting Stephens in the game? If he's a close second behind Crompton in practice, who's to say that he won't step up and at least not give a game away once he gets on the field?
He didn't play enough last year to show what he's truly capable of. WE HAVE SEEN WHAT CROMPTON'S capable of.
With Crompton as a QB, we have little to no chance at winning 7 games this year. Maybe Stephens will step it up and find a way to win. We just KNOW that Crompton can't do that.
What is with you people???
