This is my first thread on a night of a horrible loss so I know I am asking for a beatdown...

First, if you are going to complain that we need to hire a new coach, please promise the dollars you will spend to hire a new coach. Will you provide at least 10% of your net income for the change? This will still not move the needle most likely but at least you have a reason to gripe (present company included). People that b*&^ch and moan without offering solutions offer no value to this world.

Second, I am off the bandwagon of Butch just like 76% of VN (early poll); however, I realize being a fan makes me fanatical and less likely to be objective. A CEO or AD must remain objective at all cost due to the bigger picture at play. My problem with Jones is he feels he is a CEO or president of a company and operates solely by statistics without the ability to change with variables or emotion. Butch has not shown the ability to adapt to the situation or manage through it. Poor game management is very apparent.

Third, I appreciate the fact that Butch has brought back so many VFLs and become an open program to the University. This was truly missing in the previous regime.

Finally, I wish we had first half Butch for a whole game. That Butch has stones but the second half Butch turns into Caitlyn.

Go Vols and I will always support the team.

10% ? isn't that like church involvement money ?

and why not support CBJ ? he is the head coach of the Vols and is making progress with the team,I know it is sucking right now,but he is going upward not backward

there is a lot that needs to be changed,do you really think he isn't working on it ?

Yes, Vol football is church for many people.

Like I said, I support the football team. I know he is working on it but results are all that matter. Win, period.

I'm a true VOL fan but I had no idea that Butch would struggle with accepting penalties and other small coaching decisions. True enough Butch and staff coached poorly but this team seems cursed. What are the chances of loosing two games in this fashion. This team might need an exorcist.

if it takes us losing to get a better coach so be it. no I don't support jones. he has shown to be incompetent at best. he does not deserve my support.

Donors could have ample funds pledged by tomorrow. But that will do no good at all. Donors pooled millions to replace Dooley and Hart rebuffed them.

Money isn't the problem and never has been. The problem is the stubborn autocracy of the AD-- which is similar to the stubborn autocracy of the HC he hired. At least one more year of America's Best-- and probably two-- and it will get much uglier from here.

I'm afraid you're right.
