Son, we live in a world that has goal line defensive sets, and those sets are chosen by the coaches with the assistant coaches. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Mr. Message Board Poster?
I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Nick Reveiz. and curse Justin Wilcox; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that having more players on the field, while illegal, probably saves touchdowns, and that my very decision, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, usually saves touchdowns.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties you want more players on the field; you need more players on the field.
We use words like Blitz, Goal Line package, and substitution. We use them as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain my game day decisions to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the on the field success and happiness I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said, "Woooo," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest that you pick up a Bulldog mask and bark yourself silly between the hedges. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
