What agenda would that be? That piss poor, trigger happy cops should be dealt with?
Obviously making it blanket for all cops in all areas is dumb, but a story like this should have a spotlight on it.
Yeah, not really....
Saying that there are good cops is akin to saying there are good mafia hitmen.

Since when is a cop property?"There is no such thing as a good assault rifle. It serves no purpose and only creates death and destruction. They are all bad." Various liberals
"There is no such thing as a good cop. They serve no purpose and only extort the citizenry and kill people that resist. They are all bad." You and various VN members
Most curious how that works isn't it?
What's the point? You have your belief system, I have mine. I believe the police are funded with stolen tax dollars I.e robbery. That makes the entire policing system invalid.
Since when are there no good cops?
Are you implying each and every daily interaction between police and the citizens is bad?
I'm implying that the very profession is bad. Are good people cops? Sure. its the profession that is bad. I've said that a million times here. I don't hate the cop is a person, I hate the profession.
When you were a cop did you ever enforce laws that directly contradicted with your conscience? If so, how do you abide that?
Ahh, you edited before I was able to make the age joke about "yore."
Anyway, no, I honestly didn't. Problem between our two trains of thought will be that you think many/most laws are needless (which I might even partially agree with you) and I tend to think there had to be some rule of law in order to continue as a society.
This cop was d-bag. He'll get what he deserves.
But, you didn't hear about the Cincinnati cop murdered a few weeks ago did you? Somehow, that wasn't news. He was a good, decent, upstanding policeman and man for that matter. Yet, his death doesn't get one second of coverage outside of this area.......

This proves my point from earlier. Your utilizing the bad cop spotlight, not to point out bad people, but to support your agenda that cops or law enforcement are not needed.
Have you visited the countries where the criminals run free. And, not everything, not even a small percentage of what an American LEO involves "property".Yes, a profession established in theft and violence. As opposed to legitimately owned property that requires an owner to do evil with the object.
Preventive policing leads to our current prison population problem. America is 5% of the worlds population and we have 25% of the worlds prison population. Land of the free don't ya know....
Of course not. But, Im pretty sure you just did by comparing our prison population.
Sure Tim, the tax farm of America. Where everything we do is regulated and taxed. If you disobey these completely arbitrary commands of the ruling class, you'll be kidnapped (arrested) thrown into a cage. Or, if you resist the kidnapping, you'll be murdered.
I know, I know, I can always leave, right?
You realize that it would be no different in your idea though. Money (ruling class) would be the ones giving the arbitrary command, kidnapping, and murder.
Yeah, minus the institution of violence where these crimes are done today under the color of "law."
Nothing is perfect, but let's at least have a choice to opt out. Freedom is freedom, you cannot be less free. Either you're free, or you're not. If you cannot opt out, you're not free.
Voluntary association and the actual free market would be much better in my opinion.
