My opinion of law enforcement comes from seeing the biggest idiotic fu** ups in my highschool becoming police officers and then acting exactly how they acted in school, except now with a gun, badge, and attitude that their intuition and moral compass is infallible. #notallcops #butcertainlytheonesiknow

I think I've mentioned it plenty of times but I work with KPD on a daily basis and the ones I know are great and nice guys.

I think I've said enough that I'll be man enough to admit if I'm wrong and have done so often enough. But on the same token, I also don't go grasping at every straw trying to determine a man's guilt either.

You know, you and a couple of others have known me longer than most here on VN. Going right back to the days of the old Gruden threads when I signed up. We got along well enough back in those days, joked around with each other and generally were civil and social.

Until you found out what my profession was and then automatically decided I was a dick and started acting like a douche. So what exactly changed? Did I do something along the way to you, other than exposing my chosen profession, for your attitude to change in such a drastic fashion?

So other than what I happen to have done for a living, why the sudden change of heart? I don't need friends Sam, and don't count anyone on here as such. So don't take this as a request for approval because I won't shed a tear and wouldn't even notice if you were gone tomorrow.

I just want to know why you believe that someone automatically is different because of what they chose to pursue in their life. And furthermore, what your profession happens to be that makes you even more superior to me in that regard.

I've never considered you a cop. Never equated an MP to LEO, always had a much higher opinion of MPs than that of LEO. Generally their better educated and trained in my opinion.

Perspective is a wonderful tool for clarity in seeing one's own deep set hatred and ingrained prejudice against a certain group.

But probably not. Like others on here, I'm a dreamer sometimes. I give Huff a lot of **** over it, but I'll give him credit for staying the course on some of his ideals.

You don't give me the credit that's due honestly. I carried a badge, a gun, enforced the laws, even civil ones, just in a more limited jurisdiction than most.

Can't marginalize the profession on semantics.

I actually was giving you credit, more credit than I do the typical LEO. Always felt a mutual respect between us and the MPs, they did their jobs without being pricks.

Never had an issue with an MP, yes got pulled over by an overzealous PVT once who got way out of line but his SGT quickly got control of the situation.

That might actually be helpful for those that haven't gotten screwed with guarantees and "it'll be in the mail" promises.

Yeah, there is that point some months down the road where patience and understanding stops after someone attempted a hookup and got ****ed on the deal.
