Right, Wal-Mart experience way more valuable than couch-sitting experience.

Believe me, well-trained forces can act in ways that de-escalate the situation and limit the potential of being placed in a situation in which they might find themselves just a tad bit threatened. Further, they can be trained to assess the threat-level prior to making the decision to engage with lethal force.

In point of fact, we expect and train our soldiers to adhere to higher standards and more limited resort to lethal force in combat in enemy territory than is on display by these cops who are working in the United States and who do not reasonably expect that while focusing on this man, they will be targeted by either sniper or RPG fire.

These cops have the luxury of time on their side. These cops have the luxury of being able to sit out in the open. These cops have the luxury of being able to communicate in the same language with both the perp and any bystanders. There is no reason in the world in this situation for the cops to escalate the situation.

Yet, they shot this man five times.

Im more concerned about the guy that gets drugged up, drags mission workers into bathrooms and beating them senseless than I am about the cops who decided to use deadly force on a person like that. Job well done imo.

Why should they be cut slack? They aren't filing papers. They're not taking movie tickets. Their job description forbids any slack-cutting, especially to killers.

Can you honestly say that you have any clue of what was going on in this situation based off the video footage that you posted?

Funny how it's always the same bleeding hearts that think all cops are evil and ignorant regardless of the situation

Funny how all the same sheeple put all their faith into the big, bad police force.

It is without a doubt the most direct medium of government power over the general populace, and you along with others unconditionally defend it.

At least you and LG have something to agree on, which keeps you from having to deal with huff, Rebel, and I (since the three of us are SO liberal).

I haven't made any statements that need to await facts. Everything I've said is based on the facts we know. 4 armed vs 1 unarmed and the 1 is dead. That's enough for me to pass some judgment. I'm not saying any of the officers should be charged, yet. I'm awaiting facts. That being said, based on the facts we know, should they be considered competent police officers? No.

Your opinion means nothing. Zero.

Resisting. Pretty self defining.

Resisting=
1. Not identifying yourself when asked.
2. Not stopping and chatting with police when asked.
3. Not disclosing knowledge of criminal activity, yours or someone else's when asked.
4. Not submitting to a voluntary search of your person, vehicle, home or other private property when asked.
5. Looking an officer in the eye.
6. Questioning an officer's actions.
7. Not answering with a polite yes sir/ma'am or no sir/ma'am.
8. Making any statement to an officer that can be considered threatening.
9. Not complying immediately with an officer's instructions, regardless of circumstance or instruction.
10. Not recognizing that anything the officer says or does during your encounter can be used against you.

Does that cover it? These should all be felonies and police should be able to shoot you dead to stop a felony in progress.

Well your supposed "facts" could easily change to 3 armed vs 1 armed correct? I don't have a clue what did or didn't occur here especially after watching the video. I didn't show me anything other than multiple rounds being fired. I cannot observe competency or lack there of based on the video which in my opinion is the leap you are making.

You are trying too hard. Resisting is self explanatory.

I troll a lot of these idiots, but only after presenting arguments like this, which are valid btw. However, I soon learned that even though they say things like "all the facts are not available" or "the guy shouldnt have done that" you'll learn that they dont care about the facts.

I could actually agree with making resisting arrest a felony if we could get a reasonable definition and not let it be up to officers discretion.

Is it too much to ask for your opinion as to what actions a felony charge for resisting should consist of?

And yet you are blind to the most obvious fact of all, you are simply too biased to give an honest opinion that's worth a grain of salt. You've been brainwashed to believe that LEOs are above the law, and their lives are worth much more than a civilian's.

As a citizen, I feel I have the right to travel unidentified and unimpeded down any public street. I believe that is included in my basic rights. As a police officer you feel I am resisting if I don't stop and identify myself when you ask. That is a conflict that is now being resolved violently too often.

To intentionally prevent or obstruct an officer from serving or attempting to serve any legal process.

I accomplish this daily.
