To Protect and to Serve II

Once again you miss the most important aspect. People voluntarily agree to be treated by a doctor, cops on the other hand, not so much.

And once again, you missed (ignored) the quote that led to that post.

LE is the only profession I can think of where they can multiple videos from different angles of two cops murdering a man and not only are they cleared of wrong doing but the profession stands behind them.

Said strawman was created. Said strawman was set on fire.

Lawyers were mentioned earlier, I'll agree with that as long are we're talking about prosecutors, not defense attorneys.

It's still a voluntary relationship with contracts between parties. So get a fire extinguisher and put out the fire.

Of course.

Ignoring the fact that many, probably the majority, of police "killings" are in fact valid use of force situations where they are defending either themselves or others.

Want to post your link about how many people are killed by police each year and let me tear that apart yet again?

You know DTH, you could say "I don't find the comparison valid because I really don't like cops" and I wouldn't argue.

Easier said than done I suppose.

See, that's where we fundamentally disagree. You say that force is justified to enforce "the law" which (if we're honest) amounts mostly to drug laws. In other words, stopping people from choosing for themselves.

You're right, I despise cops. I think their profession is the most immoral profession out there besides being a politician.

I'd say you're more than welcome to toss up the link and let me tear it apart. (again)

And I'd be careful about creating yet another strawman about it just being "drug laws." You shoot at a cop, you're taking that voluntary chance of getting shot back. While it's not a contractual relationship, it's pretty much guaranteed to happen.

Okay.

You know how this system works. The politician scribbles down a law and the lap dog cops rush to enforce it. Cops limit people's personal choices by fear of the gun or a cage. It's nobody's ******n business what you do with your life, provided you're not hurting someone else. Yet, the prisons are filled to the gills with non violent offenders. All this occurred by the politicians hand, enforced by the cop.

Go on a ride along in an urban setting and get some f'ing perspective because you have no f'ing clue what you're talking about.

I've been on welfare checks, traffic stops, domestics, CHILD CUSTODY SITUATIONS..each with assh*les who were armed. And have yet to have to use deadly force (thank God).

A girl I graduated the academy with was shot in the face because of a public drunk call.

So take your bullsh*t elsewhere.

They get sued or even prosecuted without the support of a government.

"Support"?

Darren Wilson was exonerated of any wrongdoing and has yet to find employment in law enforcement elsewhere.

The "support" we get is either from the FOP or PBA.

Frankly, I don't give a damn about you nor your problems.

And for the record, I live in Birmingham hoss, that's about as urban as it gets.

I'll leave you to argue, but I might suggest it's pointless to argue most of the time.

Did you watch the video I posted about the threat management system in Detroit? I really think they are doing good work there.

No, I didn't see the post. This thread gets ignored most of the time, so I'm not entirely positive when you or others are posting something constructive or just general outrage.
