Just wanted to say thanks for the support you gave to the LSU SG bus trip. Escort, location on campus, EVERYTHING involving the arragement of it went smoothly, and ya'll were far more accomodating than any SEC venue we have gone to.

Yeah, and then the way you all broke up that fight and arrested a bunch of our football players, that was just freaking GREAT!

Good work guys.

And for putting up with people who say stupid things. And for putting your life on the line everyday you go to work.

Thanks KPD. Thanks for everything you do, even if some people don't think so.

I appreciate them "putting their lives on the line", but I would appreciate them a lot more if they wouldn't be assholes to everyone that attends the Tennessee games and if they would either solve the crimes that happen in thier city, or atleast seek help when they have gone for two years without finding a killer.

Can you imagine what it must be like to work a football game with 100,000 jacked up fans, many of whom are drunk. Everytime I go to a game, I try to make it a point to thank the SC Highway Patrol that work our games. Heck, we had an idiot run out on the field right before a play last night.

I don't think the cops that work these games are in the mood to give second chances to fans who are being a-holes.

Give it a rest.

I'll take your opinion to mean something to me, when you've been to more games in Knoxville than I can count on one hand.

They are asses to people they don't need to be asses to.

Also, as I said, I am tired of the fact that the killer of one of my friends is running free because they won't accept any help from America's Most Wanted, or the Feds because they feel the guy is still LOCAL. If he is local, they need to find him and arrest him. Of course, they are too busy blocking lanes near my parking garage, smarting off to people on the Vol Walk, and arresting our football players to catch any REAL criminoles.

Agreed 100%. There are surely some cops that go overboard, but it has to be some of the worst duty I can think of.

Don't forget, they are PAID to do that.

It's their job to be out there at football games. If they don't like it, go work for some small town that doesn't have college football.

Most police fall under the motto, Protect and Serve. They SERVE the public. They shouldn't treat the public poorly because they have a "rough job".

I don't see how Florida State has anything to do with this.

Thanks for trying to lighten the mood.

I'm not trying to pile onto them, but I am frustrated at them for more reasons than most. I have read other people's issues with the KPD all day and you know me, I'm not one to hold back.

People love the cops when they put their life on the line.

People hate the cops when they get a speeding ticket.

O/S, I have never had any trouble with Knoxville police. Most of the time I see them they're directing traffic after the game and trying too avoid being ran over.I am sorry about your friend, but if I'm not mistaken, Knoxville murder rate was in the top 10/15 per 100,000 not too long ago.You couldn't pay me enough to work law enforcement in the big cities.Actually my(wife's) uncle walked the downbeat in Detroit for 25 years.
