It’s a big if to get three of those. But if we do, I’d still expect we’d lose someone from 2022/23. White played ahead of those more experienced last year. I’m just saying we have room especially if we can get those three with more talent than those ahead.
We started the season with 3 slot WRs last year. Jimmy Calloway losing his 💩 opened up an opportunity for Squirrel. Walker Merrill was behind Bru. Jimmy Holiday was behind Tillman and Keyton. Neither of those guys were going to start if they came back, but now that has created opportunity for Nimrod and Webb.

From Rivals:

A Tennessee baseball commit, Jefferson definitely likes the Vols a whole lot in football as well and a recent visit back to Knoxville only solidified his feelings on the program. The four-star receiver from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School was told he can be a difference-maker in the class and everything was “first class” by the coaching staff to Jefferson and his family.

Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Clemson stand out most for him and he just set up officials to Tuscaloosa and Athens.

"Everything was first class, except the seating arrangement. UT ups it's seat game, and I'm in."

Bingo..which nullifies the whole purpose of our offensive strategy.I don't think some ppl understand that which is why we don't rotate 6 or 7 a game.
While the previous poster was wrong about the DB's having dead legs (because the defense can also substitute), it does not necessarily nullify an offensive strategy. If our depth at receivers is much better than the other teams depth at defensive backs, then it would absolutely be an offensive strategy/benefit.

Good (2nd string) receivers with fresh legs is an advantage playing against good db's with dead legs, or against fresh db's (2nd string) who aren't nearly as good as the starters.

Right, and with teams playing nickel and dime so much, it's hard not to have a noticeable dropoff when you're having to go 10-12 deep in the secondary.

Elsewhere, Pope stopped by Baylor School in Chattanooga to check on Amari Jefferson, who remains a top priority for the Vols in this class. Jefferson hopes to return to Knoxville later in the month for Memorial Day weekend. While many may talk about Ryan Wingo or Mike Matthews, Jefferson is just as big of a priority.

Would be nice to get all those dudes.

No clue how we’re going to fit, 3-4 WR’s 2-3 OL, 3-4 DL/Edge guys, LB’s and a couple more DB’s

Let’s not forget RB as well. Gotta be close to 30+ guys lol
