TN would be in TOP 10 easy if they could only score 28pts in every game.

TN defense is tough; they just can't play 75% of the whole game and be effective. Offensive play calling and player decision making are the major problems. Head coach surely knows that but is afraid to rock the boat. Instead, he will settle for an 8-4 record and hopeful bowl game win. Really not too bad in comparison to most other SEC teams so everyone mostly happy.

Same problem we had when Dooley was coaching and Bray and those guys were slinging it everywhere.
Defense was gassed

What the excuse for the first half giving up 24 & 1 punt?

Well, let's be honest here. While our inability to put drives together contributes to playing "75%" of the game, their lack of speed, athleticism and poor tackling also contribute to it. They can't control the offense, but if they want off the field, make some stops and get off the field.

This entire offense is based on having a quarterback who can manage a game. I'd rather have a guy with great football intelligence and a mediocre arm than Milton, who can throw the ball 100 yards but looks like a lost ball in high weeds when the game speeds up. Danny Wuerffel is just one example. Without a good qb (and he does not have to be great) this team will never win the East. And Milton is not even adequate. He's probably a fine young man but he is not a good college quarterback; Never has been and never will be.

Defense is a skeleton crew. DL doesn't have time to get pressure when your LB and DBs are down to 3rd string starting
