Two storied programs butting heads in Music City. Hell I'm a little excited I won't lie.

I know 2016 has been disappointing to say the least but having a bowl in your backyard is at least something to smile about. Lets turn Nashville orange and show those corn husking flatlanders what real football looks like.

It's a fun matchup and shootouts are always fun to watch in person. Plus it's on a Friday so we can party Nashville to the ground all weekend. Lots of beer and points equals a great time in the Music City

Correct. Shurmur was averaging 160 yds passing per game until Mr Shoop brought his boys to Nashville....416 passing yards allowed later, Shurmur looks like an odds-on favorite for a Heisman invite to NewYork.

It really does have a ton to do with coaching. Bama is NOT that much more talented than we are. Look at the star comparisons. Yet they dominate at an insane level.

The difference is (one at least) that Nick Saban would never brag about being "life champions". NEVER. They are obsessed with winning.....Vols are OK with losing.

Bama doesn't give two sh#ts about life championships.

If UT really, truly wants to get back to the top 4 in the country and win an SEC title they MUST embrace the way it is done in this modern era. You must be obsessed in the same way Bama is. It's obvious Butch is not up to the task. We'll have good kids who are happy in life maybe...that's wonderful. That's cute...but it's not SEC title stuff

Probably so. He did not dress out for Kentucky but did for Missouri a week later. Didn't play though. I don't know about the Vandy game... I had a hard time watching that one.
