I was thinking about this on the way to work listening to sports talk. The game really does seem to mean a ton this year but not in the usual way. The public perception really doesn't seem to question who will win, everybody knows the gators are, but by how much. A lot of people seem to think it will be a blow out.

Now, when your program has come to a point like that it is VERY important that you make a statement and prove the nation, including your own fanbase, wrong. A sounding victory over the Gators this week in will do so much for this team.
- The team, town, and fanbase will be revived by a much needed victory and more importantly each will gain a ton of confidence that will be needed the following weeks.
- The team supposedly has a bunch of "playmakers" for many of which this will be their first UF game at home. GJ didn't play last year. Crompton, Lincoln, and Wilson watched from the pine in '06. Not sure if Briscoe, Rogers, or Bolden played at all (in '06). Berry, Martin, Walker, Willingham, Rogan, Vinson, and McKenzie all experienced their first UF and Bama games last year, but both on the road. If any of these guys are truly "playmakers" then there is no greater time to shine. At home, a nationally televised game against a rival and a Top 5 team, back against the walls. If these guys can lay the smack down on this year's Gator's it could set the tone for better things either this year or next.
-There is going to be a bunch of recruits at the game and there is going to be a lot of recruits watching. A big time, hard fought, impressive victory could leave them saying "Hey, that's who I wanna play for, or that's my boys right there!"
- Everyone I think knows what this game means for the coaching staff.

LET's GO VOLS!!!! This one's BIG.

Is that you in your avatar? If so, got video of you exercising? :)

It's SAD that we are relegated to the overall series record of UT-UF, when we all know we have been UF's whipping boy for the last 15+ years.

You guys will be lucky to even score a field goal against the MIGHTY GATORS and TEBOW. You should feel priveledged to be on the same field as Tebow. It will be a blowout. You still have time to forfeit the game!:D

I noticed your user name is jamjimmy and your a big Tebow fan. Any chance you were on the receiving end of a Tebow jamjimmy session?

Better yet don't answer just go back under your bridge troll.

I'm pretty sure Michigan didn't deserve to be on the field with Tebow before the game last year either huh?

Just a what if scenario. If you guys do lose , how HOT does Phil's seat become with Auburn, Georgia, Alabama on the horizon. Does an embarrassing loss at home start getting the $$$$ boosters talking, and how would your AD spin it.

I think if we do loose, if it is real bad that seat is hotter than he has ever been on. I think things are pretty warm now after the UCLA game and got a little warmer after UCLA got emabrrased 59-0 on saturday.

who is flaming? I am just telling it like it is. c'mon, whats a little good natured ribbing? Can't take the heat then get off the playing field. Hey if you want to see a class forum, c'mon over to Gator Envy - Florida Gator Sports Forum
I know you will love it there.

If you are the example of class on that board it does not speak well for the forum. You and class have nothing in common.

I say it gets very warm. If we go into a downward spiral tailspin, and lose to UF, AU, UGA, and Bama, then I don't see how Hamilton can spin it.

Do I think we lose all of those games? No. Can it happen? Sure.

Steveo, you know the other night the smack we talked was all in good natured fun. Then, you have idiots like JamJimmies, and you know why some in the animal kingdom eat their own.
