TN vs Bama 2006

I remember the days when UT could not play its best and still win games. Not the prettiest of games but a win vs. Bama is always a good thing!

Indeed! It all goes in cycles, especially the TSIO. It will be all the sweeter when we put those stupid Elephants in their place.

I remember that day like it was yesterday, perfect fall day and that stadium was rocking
While my memory is slightly fuzzy from that day, Neyland was definitely going on that final over the top by Foster. That was an ugly football game, but it was great to beat Bama.

Oh, how far we've fallen.

I remember watching this game and thinking afterwards "What a joke, this Bama team stinks, we should have killed them."

Man, it get's lost in the win but even then Refs trying to favor Bama. Simultaneous possession on that long pass? (in the 14th minute of video) and TN drive just before it a terrible spot resulting a failed 4th down try by the Vols..

C'mon man. The SEC didn't want a #7 Tennessee team (whose only loss at that point was a 1 point loss to the eventual national champ) losing at home to an unranked Alabama team that day.

Wow 14 years ago and 13 straight losses since our last win over them I’ve about forgot what a win over them feels like

Yea, it seems like forever since we won 7 in a row, 9 of 10, and 10 of 12 against the tea-baggers/tree-killers/sucker-punchers.

I remember being 12 like "oh sweet we beat Alabama they suck....."

Side note. YouTube has basically every Vol game ever and its awesome! I have wasted a lot of time this quarantine watching old games. I guess I will watch this one now!

For the last 50 years, it’s been one cycle with a temporary disruption of the space time continuum from 1995-2004.

Good news is. Outside of like three or four teams, everyone has forgot what a win against them feelslike. We are not alone.

We've had our little runs, but nothing like Bama's. Tennessee won 4 in a row '67-70, 4 in a row '82-85, and then 9 of 10 and 10 of 12 in the era you mentioned.
