All 550 tickets were stolen out of Joe Arnone's car. Why would you leave the tickets for the UT fans in your car Joe? But NCAA invalidated the tickets and reprinted new ones

I wonder if these tickets will find there way to other VOL fans who are unaware by way of a scalper only to get to the gate and there ticket won't scan unless they don't use the scanner and it would be worse to get in the arena and have no seat...

I know I would be pissed if I scalped down there and bought a ticket that was invalid and was unable to get into the arena

You'd have a hard time convincing me that those "people" behind the Tennessee bench yesterday weren't just cardboard cutouts, anyway.

seriously all you could hear on the broadcast was chants from LBSt all game long! This coming from a team that plays in front of only 1500 at home. I suppose it's just where they had the cameras/mics positioned, but still not a good sign at all.

To the point that they would chant "Let's GO Long Beach" continuously even when a W was out of range?

We don't need to chant when a L is out of range. Trust me, there is no lack of support from UT fans. I personally would've found it difficult to get it up for a game against LBS.

UT had more fans than any team playing in Columbus the whole day with the exception of Illinois, who have a lot of fans already in Columbus.

The neutral crowd was against us though.

I'm not glad. If we happen to pull 2 more games out, we would possibly have to play TAMU in San Antonio.

haha yeah I'm pretty sure OSU wanted LBS to win that game

Ohio St fans were pulling for LBS. My sister and I were in a section surrounded by OSU fans and they were RUDE. They started cracking on us as soon as we had to get them to move to let us to our seats. One OSU fan asked if we brought a recording of "Rocky Top". We told him no we were just going to sing it. They booed UT every time we did something good and clapped when we messed up. And it seemed to neutral crowd was cheering on LBS. We then figured out the only reason they were cheering against us was because they didn't want to play us again.

People like seeing upsets. It's not always about the rematch, especially for neutral fans.

Agree, did you hear the crowd in the Pitt-VCU game, they went nuts everytime VCU did something good at the end...it's all about the cinderella's and the upsets, not necessarily because they don't want to play a certain team...

I was hoping like crazy for Xavier to win earlier. Nothing quite like a loss to a lightly-regarded opponent to cast a pall over this city. I may have to drag myself downtown tomorrow for this one.

Of course, if you want to watch an OSU fan's head explode, just hand him a blank US map and ask him to identify the states by their actual name. Most never learned and base everything off the orientation to Michigan, so therefore everything is "That state up north. That state two states south, off to the west slightly. That state three states west, slightly south, and angled at the bottom in a slightly northwestern direction."

I may be able to go tomorrow. It's me or my brother. The thing is, my brother doesn't like UT or Virginia, will be tired because he will be up late all night tonight, and probably won't remember the result off the game 10 minutes after it ends.

Hmm, sounds like you should go.

I just pulled up the website for the Columbus Dispatch daily newspaper. My sister and I got interviewed by one of their reporters at the game yesterday and they have a story on the stolen tickets. They list the sections, rows ands seat #'s of the tickets that were stolen. So if anybody is planning on getting tickets on the street tomorrow check out the story and jot down the tickets you don't want to buy.
