First, Heupel ain't gonna make any changes. He's too loyal and it takes too much effort to make staff changes unless it's from within. Second, UT isn't gonna just throw money around lightly. They just won't overspend and for good reason. They have a pay scale and they're gonna stick to it.We have to put an extra zero on those checks. Otherwise we will fall behind.
Still emphatic we have ti get some recruiters. Which we do not ... have. Other than Chop and Rodney.

How is it too much effort? Saban used to regularly replace 1-2 assistants a year. Sometimes 2-3. Either they were replaced for better or they took HC jobs.First, Heupel ain't gonna make any changes. Was McDaniel ever a Safety. He signed as a WR and became a CB. Don’t remember a stop at Safety for him.And we have had some great safeties back in the day. Charles Davis, Chris White, Terry McDaniel,Deon Grant, Dale Carter. And a few more great ones I left off. We need to get back to them days. GBO
Your right, he did come as a WR but he quickly moved to the secondary. But it may have been to corner. I will never forget a Mississippi St runner breaking free early in a game one time. Around the 50 there was nobody on the TV screen but the running back, McDaniel comes out of nowhere runs up behind him and strips the ball and we recover. We then proceeded to romp them. I will double check on that. I do know he played in the secondary. Edit: You are correct he went to corner in 1985 and thrived there. GBOWas McDaniel ever a Safety. He signed as a WR and became a CB.
