I hope we land Hiter and haven’t given up on him yet. But either way I think this is the guy we turn to in the 27 class. I see no reason to go into the portal for a running back unless somebody exceptional enters which I doubt. I think we will go after Georges hard regardless, hopeful we land Hiter tomorrow. I still feel like we have a good shot, I don’t think anyone knows. GBO

No. I've been saying it for months now. Ever since I saw Georges tape he's been the #1 RB on my board in both the 2026 and 2027 class. If you check this thread I've been comparing him to CJ2k for a minute.

Lorenzo Booker was not a real 5 star.

Hiter would not have unseated Bishop or Lewis in 2026.
DGG would have to take carries form Morris and Baker in both in year 3. Not sure he will do that.

I like both, Hiter and George, but they hand out 5 star rankings like candy…

I watched all the video I could find of this kid. I’m not sure what all the hype is about. I feel like some of yall just make stuff up based on what the previous guy said. It’s sad and embarrassing. He is good but a 3 star at best….

I think DGG has proven he can take over a backfield by overtaking one of the best RB recruits in the county in his senior year when DGG was a sophomore...

My concern with him is the level of competition. Granted, Tennessee HS football has made a lot of progress over the years, but it's still behind other states like GA, TX, FL and Cal just to name a few. Might not be as big a deal with RBs, but it's still going to take time to acclimate.

And this is fundamentally wrong because how the level of talent varies year to year. But no matter what they will rank 32 kids as 5 star.

To be fair Hiter is a top 10 player in the country. Not like he’s ranked 32nd.

Disagree on Georges. I think he's an elite talent. Best RB prospect in my opinion in many years.

I think he'll force himself into the rotation as a true freshman. And by the end of the year he might be our most productive back.

He's a big talent. Our current RB room is great. But he's a 1st round caliber NFL RB.

Went and looked back at his tape again, just to see if maybe I was being butthurt.

He turns the corner well. Is actually really good on defense . Catches well. Hits the hole hard
will get faster but his legs are a tad short. Long torso, minimal speed gain.

But I don't see the 10th best player in America. Top 100 sure. He dominated his competition - which is what he's supposed to do.

- Carries the ball loosely.
- runs upright sometimes
- no real wiggle

I don't see Siquan Barkley.

If you put Hiter and Georges together -THEN you have a real 5 star.

Watch the numbers he puts up this year as lead back, he was splitting carries last yr.

He doesn't have to be beat them out, Lewis most likely will be gone his So yr he just has to be ready when the time comes but he will play early in his career.

Watch out for whoever signs at the end of the 2026 class. And I think there are better back in 2027 as well. Imo
