'27 TN RB David Gabriel Georges

If you can't understand this that is totally fine, but based on the OSU On3 board and the Uncle's Comments / DGG's Tweet yesterday I am getting slight Legend Bey PTSD from this recruitment..

May just be OSU trying to cope but they are making it seem like the Uncle is pushing DGG towards TN due to NIL where as DGG may be learning towards OSU.

I would disagree with that due to his connections on the team and relationship with the staff / DGG training with AK this summer and following Owing's strength program. Just wanted to know your thoughts there?
If DGG’s thought process is anywhere near what his uncle said, it’s in the bag for you guys. I don’t think Heupel could have outlined it better himself. His uncle basically negated any perceived advantage Ohio State had and turned it into a strength for TN. He said Ohio State is a machine and DGG would just be another cog. Might as well be THE cog at TN. Ohio State doesn’t need him. If they miss they will flip someone. Tn needs him.

You lose me really, really quickly when you say the NFL angle is pointless. The NFL angle is the whole point for him. College is just a warm up, not a destination.

Ohio State puts far more people in the NFL than UT. It's just a fact, so they get more attention from the NFL.

I don't know where he'll go but the NFL angle is a big, big part of his decision.
Guess that has nothing to do with OSU getting more blue chip talent and Tennessee being in the desert before Heupel got here. You guys act like they are taking diamonds in the rough and developing these kids. And no the NFL angle is overplayed. Talent gets to the league regardless of the school they play for

Talent gets in the league BUT getting in the league, even with talent, isn't guaranteed and everything an elite player can do for development in college helps give them an edge.

Going to Ball State to get developed vs going to UT or Ohio State for development..... it's no contest.

I'm not saying you cannot make the league from a smaller school. I stating as fact that you'll get better facilities, better training staff, a better training table, likely better position coaches, and better competition from UT or Ohio State.

I don’t get it. But I am genuinely interested about Sanders. For all I know we have been fed half truths or very little of the truth
I never heard anything special about the seats or a house. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but it was never really talked about.

I figure he got his bag, and that was the end of it. even while Sanders wasn't playing he was engaged with the team and never bemoaned Tennessee, so it doesn't seem like there is any lingering drama.

I guess the one thing we did was "push out" the starting LT, but most think Sanders was playing better at the end anyway. we offered the old LT the RT job, that Sanders had, but he decided he wanted to play at Kentucky...last starting OL we "lost" to Kentucky ended up being addition by subtraction, most feel the same in this case too.

OSU will just flip a 5 star RB? Ok

“Ohio State doesn’t need a 5 star running back.” That is just a silly thing to say.

Just to be clear, DGG’s uncle said that. Not me. Although I did type it. His uncle didn’t give any indication of the RB’s rating.
Y'all have Jackson for this year and next, I think, before he can hit the draft. He ain't a bad RB. I'm sure the RB room isn't bare without DGG, but he's a big get for any program.

His whole schtick of "TN needs DGG but tOSU will be fine without him" reeks of trying to bait someone: tOSU for a bigger bag? DGG into tipping his hand? ("I didn't say anything,") UT into trying harder to close the deal?

I dislike family getting their own "piece of the spotlight" in these things. It's historically gone badly for us.

Nothing is ever 100% done in today’s environment but let’s just say the t’s and i’s have moved forward as planned.

Everyone involved has crushed this recruitment, would take a major shake up the last two weeks to send this off the tracks.

We will stay vigilant, GBO!
I knew I came back too soon. I refuse to get my hopes up.

I can see your points. And I agree. And, just to clarify, I don’t think a team needing DGG is a bad thing. People like to feel needed. I would rather DGG feels Ohio State needs him as opposed to not really needing him. Jackson is pretty good. Just wish he had a bit more speed.

To be sure, every college team in America needs what DGG brings to the table. That's why the uncle's interview sticks in my craw.

There's no need nor truth in that whole BS about "Ohio State will be fine but UT really needs him."

Both programs are putting a ton of resources into landing DGG for a very good reason: they feel like the program needs his services.

I'm chaffed by the uncle's BS. It's useless to the process and just smells of a family member talking out of turn. We've been burned by that kind of family before.

Some people just can't be happy unless they're upset about something.

You can play it down. But OSU wants DGG more than anyone I can remember. And my memory goes way back.

3 pick the vols and 6 pick the buckeyes but Nakos and Simmons pick the vols with Fong who picked tOSU pretty much saying it’s 50/50.
Sounds like the episode of Star Trek TOS where an entity gives weapons to the Enterprise crew and the Klingons while it feeds on their violence. ON3 feeds on the clicks, and for the truly desperate, insider subscriptions to the site. Notice how none of the RPM's are being posted publicly? That'll happen 12-24 hours before a public decision. After Vol and Buckeye fans and maybe a few Rebs, have killed each other numerous times only to be re-animated by entity to repeat the cycle.

Enjoy!
