The National College Evaluation Camp brought together some of the best prospects Georgia and other states including Tennessee has to offer from the classes of 2022, '23, '24 and beyond. Many of them stood out among a loaded camp field.

Jacob Hood, Offensive Tackle, 6-foot-8 350 pounds, Nashville, TN, Class of 2022

Hood was one of the obvious stars of the camp. Within seconds of stepping out onto the turf, eyes shifted in the direction of the massive offensive lineman from Nashville. Hood is listed at 6-foot-8 and weighs 350 pounds. He could be even bigger by the time he begins college. According to Hood his family has multiple ‘seven footers’.

Hood is considered a three-star by 247 Sports composite rankings, the 15th-best player in Tennessee by the site. He didn’t do anything to change his place among those rankings, showing that he can be a leader and has a future as a mauler. In every drill, Hood was the first one in line. His 40 time wasn’t fast, but it doesn’t need to be. He could be slotted for the guard position at the next level and depending on the system that could be his ticket to fame in the future.

Lol at his current weight he is, but @de1conley is working with him on Flexibility which will improve his speed. I would assume Conley is telling him to drop some weight but do it in a healthy way.

The kid is slow on his lateral speed but I assume that is why he is working with NPA to improve it.

He has lost significant weight to date and is a naturally big kid. Huggy Bear is in the best shape of his life right now. He is getting a lot of attention right now and will likely keep getting it as he will be a natural RT and has long arms and is strong. Guys like Orlando Zeus Brown, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace are examples of his body type and OTs he'll be built like, and No I didn't say he was their caliber NOW. It's hard to run around guys this big especially when they have a really good reach.

Does he have good feet naturally? How does he move laterally? Is he coachable? How's his work ethic? Some projects are well worth taking a chance on.

Huggy Bear is a great kid, very coachable, was a "fake hooper" as we call it but that was just because he was big, his feet were never an issue he just had to fine tune whereas he was winning a lot of reps on intimidation due to his size. Also this kid never misses a workout and goes to anything extra he can from boxing work outs to track and speed work outs.

That is as solid of a nickname for a big OL as I have ever heard - Huggy Bear

>> Tennessee also appears to be one of the teams most heavily involved with Class of 2022 offensive lineman Jacob Hood of Nashville's Hillsboro High School, along with Georgia and Mississippi State. He said he's talking with the Vols a few times per week, and Heupel's staff has made a good impression on him so far.

The 6-foot-8, 335-pound Hood named a top six of Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Baylor, LSU and Mississippi State earlier this month. For now, though, he wants to take some visits — including another trip to Tennessee, where he attended one of the Vols' home games in 2019 — before making a decision. He currently envisions announcing a commitment this summer or early in his senior season.

Well yer dumb for not watching his film but you are 100% correct. He fat, lazy, can’t move his feet, no bend and can barley get in his stance. Whoever rated this guy a 4 star is full of beans. Please, no, this kid is not good and we better be choosey as hell because we ain’t getting back with giant misses like this guy. Would be a massive miss by this staff...we have better looking lineman in state and could fill out a roster with them and not this type of bust. Mark it down, he’s a Memphis, wku, mtsu level take and will be a bust there too. No thank you.
How you feeling about this post now?

Especially the part where you said he’s a Memphis, WKU, MTSU level take and will be a bust there too.

We matched him with nothing but the top guys from Michigan and he was physically dominant. Kid is going to be a stud next level at RT. He has shed so much weight and as much as the 40 doesn't matter to a kid this size, he has improved to the mid 5s at 6'7 365ish
