But Alcoa is absolutely legit this year. I think they are going to run into Oakland and we FINALLY see that matchup!

They already took out Maryville and destroyed Bearden who was supposed to be good 63-17 or something like that.

Bearden lost everyone to Anderson County when their coach got pushed out, but yes Alcoa is very good this year

They are the closest team to my house, though we are zoned to Heritage, so I will go catch a couple of their better games. Oddly a Bearden grad, but the one 4 miles down the Pike. But that was 56 years ago,so……

I remember when it was just 5A and Riverdale was king.

In North Carolina they combine classifications during a the playoffs irrc.

Do they have like a 6A playoffs? 5A playoffs in Tennessee?

Yes each class has a playoff and there are 9 state champions which is way too many for this state. 6 public and 3 private.

Oakland and Alcoa can only meet if they schedule each other in the regular season.
