The impact of the NCAA rumors of post season ban used by opponents in recruiting did not technically end until summer of 2023. In addition, Players recruited during that time are this years seniors, so, yes, even 6 yrs later, the program still has to deal with the affects of the $hitpile Pruitt left behind.Heupel came into those sanctions SIX YEARS AGO. That can't be an excuse to live off any more. In 2024, Ole Miss won the same number of games as Tennessee and BEAT GEORGIA. IS GEORGIA NOT "ANYONE OF CONSEQUENCE"?????? 2022 was the only season of the last four that Tennessee was the clearly better team. DId Heupel have 62 scholarship players each of the past couple of seasons when he went 8-4 in two of the last three seasons? Won zero ranked games in both of those 8 win seasons. 2024 has been the clear exception of the past three seasons. Nothing in my message had anything to do with the fact that Ole Miss won that game several years ago. That was FIVE YEARS AGO. Heupel does not just need time to get his own guys in now. When do they update the same talking points people have said that they did half a decade ago that I evidently need to read?
I believe the program is still a scholarship or two below 105 & according to AP, they have periods each year they cannot contact recruits when other schools can.
